- Connecting with Peninsula people for Jesus

As I write this we are well and truly into 2017 which has begun with its usual share of tragedies, extreme weather conditions, violence and upheaval.  But as I say this I am ever mindful that life is so much more than all of these things.  The sadness I feel is for those who for various reasons are only able to see and hold on to such things; those who are overwhelmed by anxiety and negativity; who are unable to see the good, happy and positive that is just as much a part of our human existence.

Ecclesiastes 7:14  When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other.  Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.  Too many times we can feel helpless and out of control.  But we can turn to the One who is fully in control and perfectly able to help in our time of need.

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.

I encourage you to seek God in many different ways … speak to a friend, a professional, a Minister; pray and listen; go to your nearest Church and seek out the support of others. God can be trusted to uphold you and see you through all of life’s ups and downs.

In February I will be in Sydney 8-10 Feb to attend the UCA Assembly committee as part of my duties as appointed member.

Otherwise, I can be reached every Wednesday and Friday and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month

The peace of God be with you.
