This is a difficult time for Australia, and for the world with the unrest in China and Taiwan, the war in the Ukraine led by Russia’s President, the flooding in Northern NSW and Queensland. It is a scary time in history. As Christians we can make a difference in people’s lives who are scared and hurting. Even on the LeFevre Peninsula!
In his letter to the Romans, Paul says, “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly;…If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” Rom 12:15, 16,18.
In a world that is filled with hatred, violence and disasters, we have the opportunity to serve God by being the peacemakers, the shoulders to cry on. We have the responsibility to live out the love and mission of Jesus each day. Most of all we have the unspeakable privilege of being able to go directly to God in prayer. Make no mistake, prayer is powerful and does change things. Let’s all spend time this month praying for those affected by these difficult and terrible events!
God bless and keep you all.
Justin.
